College Chambers Lecture Day – 5 October 2023

Members of our Family Law team attended a lecture day at College Chambers in October 2023, which included a variety of lectures across matrimonial finances, children matters and contested probate.

Our team started the day with a child-focused lecture on practical hints and tips on how to address parental alienation during child proceedings. The team then covered matrimonial finance topics such as issues with disappearing assets and how to address them, tips on running a successful conduct argument, how to approach maintenance pending suit applications and how to obtain costs orders in the family courts. Our family team then ended the day with a civil law lecture on contested probate and issues arising from inheritance.

The team found the lectures to be engaging and informative and the barristers provided a great insight into the practices of the family court. At MJP Law, we take pride in ensuring our staff attend regular training and are up to date with any developments and changes in the law.
